Sports
The After School Sports
Program is an ongoing
program that offers various
sports in six-week blocks.
There are no try-outs and
students are not "cut."
Membership on a team simply
requires a desire to play
and the appropriate
commitment to being a team
player. In this after school
program, Pine Valley teams
compete against other middle
schools in our district.
Because we receive no
funding for this program,
students wishing to
participate are asked to
make a one-time
non-refundable contribution
of $75 to cover coaching,
referee fees and equipment
expenses.
Although students may
join during the school year,
we encourage students to
sign up for the program
during Parent/Student
Registration to allow us
adequate tim to plan and to
budget for the year.
Students are advised to
listen to the daily bulletin
(which is read each morning
over the PA system) for
sign-up dates. Posters with
similar information will
also be located in the PE
locker rooms. This is a very
popular program at Pine
Valley with over one third
of our students generally
participating in one or more
sports during the school
year. Please refer to your
registration packet
materials for sign-up sheets
and a schedule of activities
that are outlined above. The
Pine Valley office always
has information regarding
the specifics of these
programs.
